Job Description

We are Hiring Quantity Surveyor (Civil/Mechanical) with previous experience in an Engineering Consultancy environment.

Office Location: Cairo

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project documents.
  • Prepare, review, and update Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Assist in cost estimation and budgeting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review tender documents, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Evaluate contractor quotations and variation orders.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports.
  • Coordinate with the design and project management teams to ensure accurate quantity assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
  • Support procurement and tendering activities when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Previous experience in an Engineering Consultancy is mandatory.
  • Strong experience in quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimation, and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel; experience with CostX, PlanSwift, or similar QS software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Consultancy experience on residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.
  • Experience working with international codes and standards is a plus.
