Roles and responsibilities:
- Maintaining logs for variations, Instructions, RFI's, PA, PC, etc.
- Take off quantities and preparation of scope wise packages
- Preparation of interim payment applications
- Verification of scope (item and quantity) against contract BOQ, Comparison of IFT & IFC drawings, report and raise variation claim for the changes if any.
- Preparation and submission of variations and its follow up for approval
- Review and comment the draft contracts received from clients
- Sub contractor's agreement to be reviewed and modified as per the scope and in conjunction to our main contract
- Sub con billing: Cross checking at site, evaluation, certification
- Attending commercial related meetings with main contractor, client, etc.
- Preparation of EOT claims
- Preparation of CTC and statement of final account
- Timely alert to operation team about critical issues like, de-scope, long lead items, cashflow related issues.
- Status report/Alert to the line manager about the overall progress of the project against, billing, variation, certification, program delay, etc.
Must have skills:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
- 5+ years of relevent exp. as a QS for an Interior Fit out or Joinery company
- Understanding of interior materials, offsite joinery versus onsite carpentry works, and contract conditions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost-measuring tools
