Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with HSE rules and regulations.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans.
• Deliver safety induction training and toolbox talks to workers.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices; prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure proper documentation, permits, and safety records are maintained.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to enforce safe work practices.
• Ensure PPE usage and check the condition of safety equipment regularly.
• Support emergency preparedness and conduct safety drills.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
• NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or equivalent certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 25 years of experience in civil construction projects (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prepare risk assessments, method statements, and daily HSE reports.
