Safety Supervisor/Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Supervisor/Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, safety procedures, risk assessments, and international safety standards. Experience in conducting site inspections, preparing safety reports, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, and promoting a safe working environment is essential. Strong communication and coordination skills are required.

Responsibilities:

-Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safety regulations.

-Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective and preventive actions.

-Review and implement Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.

-Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness programs.

-Monitor PPE compliance and enforce safe work practices.

-Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.

-Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve HSE issues and improve safety performance.

-Monitor emergency preparedness, fire prevention measures, and environmental compliance.

-Prepare HSE reports, safety statistics, inspection records, and project safety documentation.

-Participate in project meetings and promote a strong safety culture.

-Ensure compliance with client requirements, ISO 45001, and applicable occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

-Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Engineering

-5–7 years of relevant experience.

-Consultant experience is preferred.

-NEBOSH IGC, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, IOSH, or equivalent safety certifications are preferred.
