Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Operations Engineer to support the sales process by managing technical and commercial activities from customer inquiry through project delivery. The role involves evaluating customer requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and ensuring the successful execution of sales projects while maintaining profitability and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Review customer inquiries and tender documents to identify technical and commercial requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare cost analyses, pricing sheets, quotations, and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain competitive technical and commercial offers.
- Support procurement activities by following up on purchase orders and material deliveries.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, engineering, and field operations to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates until successful delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotations, and project documentation.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical presentations, exhibitions, and industry events when required.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide effective technical support throughout the sales cycle.
- Analyze competitor activities and tender outcomes to improve future proposals.
- Ensure company profitability by optimizing costs while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or any related field)
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in sales operations, technical sales, or a related field.
- Experience in the marine industry is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Project management knowledge is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
