SAP System Administrator

Job Purpose

The job holder specializes within the SAP Product Team, in the administration, architecture, and maintenance of the core SAP system landscape, serving as a technical expert in its configuration and operational health. This role encompasses the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of S/4HANA Private Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and associated integrations to ensure they align with the organization's strategies, meet robust performance standards, and provide an optimal user experience for the business.

Job Responsibilities:

System Administration & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain the S/4HANA Private Cloud landscape, ensuring continuous system availability, high performance, and disaster recovery readiness.

Cloud & Interface Management: Administer SAP BTP environments—encompassing cockpit administration, security, and user management—and establish secure technical connections for the SAP Integration Suite.

Security & Access Governance: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive SAP authorization concepts (e.g., PFCG roles, BTP Role Collections), ensuring strict Segregation of Duties (SoD) and mitigating vulnerabilities through routine assessments and patching.

Fiori & ODATA Infrastructure: Implement scalable configurations for the SAP Fiori landscape that adhere to industry best practices, including the active monitoring and management of ODATA services.

Performance Optimization: Proactively analyze current IT processes and system workflows to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

Monitoring, Patching & Change Management: Keep accurate records of system configurations and strictly follow change management best practices during system upgrades, system copies, and OSS note implementations to ensure application stability.

Issue Resolution & Support: Offer continuous technical support, advanced troubleshooting, and defect resolution for implemented solutions in alignment with established departmental support processes.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, system configuration logs, and deployment documentation for all architectural changes.

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear, effective communication between business users, IT Business Partners, andother technical teams to address system concerns and foster collaborative problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training/Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (SAP HANA) and/or SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP System Security and Authorizations.
• Minimum of 5+ years of extensive experience in SAP Basis Administration and systems analysis.
• Demonstrated experience managing S/4HANA Private Cloud environments and hybrid landscapes.
• Preferably have worked in consulting environments.
