Senior Associate – Corporate Advisory
Location: Doha, Qatar
A leading Qatar-based law firm is seeking a Senior Associate – Corporate Advisory to join its growing Corporate practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded corporate lawyer to advise local and international clients on a broad range of corporate and advisory matters, while taking an active role in mentoring junior lawyers and managing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage corporate and commercial matters independently and provide commercially focused legal advice.
- Advise clients on corporate transactions, commercial contracts, financings, corporate governance, restructuring, regulatory matters, and related advisory work.
- Draft and review agreements, legal opinions, memoranda, and other client documentation.
- Attend client meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions.
- Supervise and develop junior lawyers, including Associates and Paralegals.
- Work closely with Partners and senior team members on complex matters.
Candidate Requirements
- 6–10 years post-qualification experience gained within a reputable law firm or legal practice (exceptional candidates outside this range may be considered).
- Strong corporate and commercial advisory experience.
- Broad experience across areas such as corporate transactions, commercial contracts, financing matters, governance, and legal opinions.
- Experience managing clients and supervising junior lawyers.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Qualified lawyer with a recognised law degree.
Preferred Experience
- GCC or Middle East legal experience.
- Experience advising regional and international clients.
- Arabic and English language skills (Arabic preferred but not essential).
