JOB PURPOSE
- Senior Automation & Container Platform Engineer who will oversee planning, installing, and monitoring the infrastructure systems (OpenShift & Kubernetes), primarily focus on administering and supporting the OpenShift Container Platform ecosystem for the organization in public cloud and on premise. This includes managing container tenant provisioning, isolation, and capacity.
- Working with DevOps team as cross-functional member in Agile environment to drive shared vision for IT strategy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Computer Science Graduate is preferred.
- 4-7 years experience of OpenShift & K8 solutions.
- Experience with at least one of the following automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, power shell & bash scripting)
- Experience of overall backup storage design and related issues.
- Experience in CI/CD Pipeline.
- Experience with Linux, or Unix operating systems
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, OpenShift containers & backup servers.
- Manage the container platform ecosystem (installation, upgrade, patching, monitoring)
- Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance.
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers.
- Ensure all administrative procedures are followed.
- Authors/edits system documentation/playbook(s).
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.
- Configuring data replication across sites for data redundancy and have performed Disaster recovery.
