Senior Backend Engineer

An industry-leading platform developing advanced systems for clinical trials is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for developing new modules for the back-end while maintaining and integrating with existing products. The selected candidate will work across a diverse set of teams in a company led by healthcare professionals passionate about improving access to research through well-thought-out solutions and customer-oriented culture. It is a full-time, long-term role that requires at least 4 hours overlap with EST.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be a full-fledged contributor and help cross-functional teams
• Build self-contained, reusable, and testable codes
• Create innovative solutions while applying strong analytic capability
• Maintain necessary documentation for the project
• Coordinate with the development team to manage the fixes, code changes, and code merge
• Give clear guidelines and tasks, review code output, and teach what you know to other developers on the team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science(or equivalent experience)
• Prior experience working as a Senior Technical Lead
• Experience with Big Data, Redshift/Spark/Hadoop
• Prolific knowledge of Python, MongoDB, GraphQL, Flask or FastAPI
• Prior experience in regulated projects is nice to have
• Ability to prioritize well, communicate, have a consistent track record of delivery, and excellent software engineering skills
• Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Must be interested in diving deep into the domain of the problems they are solving, not only the software development
• Excellent computational problem-solving skills and expert understanding of designing, coding, debugging, and testing procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
