Key Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Senior Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, tracking, and maintaining all project documentation related to ADNOC Offshore projects. The role ensures that documents are properly received, registered, distributed, archived, and maintained in compliance with ADNOC standards, project procedures, and quality management requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an effective document control system for the project.
- Receive, log, classify, distribute, and track all incoming and outgoing project documents.
- Maintain document registers, transmittals, correspondence logs, and records in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure all documents are controlled as per ADNOC Offshore specifications, company procedures, and ISO standards.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Quality, and Client teams regarding document submissions and revisions.
- Manage document numbering, version control, and revision status throughout the project lifecycle.
- Upload, update, and maintain documents in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), ACONEX, SharePoint, or client-specific systems.
- Monitor document review cycles and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and comments closure.
- Prepare document status reports and progress reports for project management.
- Archive completed project documents and ensure proper handover of final dossiers, MDRs (Manufacturing Record Books), and closeout documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all project documents.
- Support audits and inspections by providing requested documentation and records.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience as a Document Controller in Oil & Gas, EPC, Offshore, or Construction projects.
- ADNOC Offshore project experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working with EPC contractors and engineering documentation.
