Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Technical Office Engineer – Power is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical office activities related to electrical power systems throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures the preparation and review of shop drawings, material submittals, technical documentation, quantity take-offs, and as-built drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, applicable electrical codes, and project schedules. The position provides technical support to site teams and coordinates with consultants, clients, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful execution of electrical power works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and coordinate electrical power shop drawings in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Review IFC drawings, BOQs, and project specifications to identify technical issues and resolve design discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit material submittals, technical submittals, RFIs, method statements, and material approval requests.
- Coordinate with consultants to obtain approvals and respond to technical comments.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare material requests for procurement.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers regarding technical compliance of electrical equipment and materials.
- Review vendor technical offers and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, mechanical, ELV, and planning teams to resolve design clashes.
- Prepare and maintain as-built drawings and project documentation.
- Provide technical support to site engineers during installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Monitor engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project schedules and milestones.
- Participate in technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, Egyptian Electrical Code, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Support value engineering initiatives and recommend cost-effective technical solutions.
- Review and verify electrical calculations, load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and equipment selections when required.
- Assist in preparing project progress reports and technical documentation.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technical office engineers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Technical Office roles.
- Proven experience in large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, or infrastructure projects.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience using Revit MEP is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with electrical engineering standards such as IEC, NEC, and Egyptian Electrical Code.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, contracts, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work on-site at the New Administrative Capital, Cairo, Egypt.
