Geoharbour is looking for a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Estimator specializing in Deep Foundation, Piling, and Shoring Works to join our growing team in the Middle East region.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing project and bid strategies by analyzing project proposals, technical requirements, and historical cost data. Ultimately, your work will help drive business growth and support the company in securing new project opportunities across UAE and KSA markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend bid meetings and develop and execute bid strategies.
- Prepare thorough and timely cost analysis.
- Analyze project proposals to prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Gather, update, and review historical cost data.
- Prepare complete cost estimates and tender submissions for:
- Piling Works
- Shoring Systems
- Diaphragm Walls
- Deep Foundation Projects
- Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations, and management teams during tender preparation.
- Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and commercial opportunities.
- Participate in tender clarifications, technical meetings, and negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and project specifications.
- Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and project cost planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Master's Degree or PhD in Civil Engineering or related field will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum 10–15+ years of experience in similar organizations within the UAE/KSA, with a strong construction background and solid understanding of piling and shoring techniques.
- Strong commercial awareness including market rates, margins, and pricing strategies.
- Strong contractual knowledge with the ability to identify and assess commercial risks such as LDs, payment terms, and escalation clauses.
- Ability to independently handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
