Job Purpose
Coordinate the technical design, construction, and maintenance of piping (Plant) & pipelines transporting Oil, Gas, and other fluids, review technical deliverables, and provide guidance & support to engineers. Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements while contributing to safe and efficient piping (Plant) & pipeline operations.
Job Duties
Pipeline Engineering Activities
- Contribute to the development of pipeline routing studies, considering terrain, environmental constraints, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and review feasibility studies, technical assessments, and risk evaluations for piping (Plant) & pipeline projects.
- Coordinate the piping (Plant) & pipeline system design, including material selection, wall thickness calculations, stress checks, and sizing under the direction of the Construction Manager/ Project Manager.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, plans, technical specifications, and related documentation.
- Support construction teams by clarifying design requirements and addressing engineering queries during installation.
- Participate in inspections, quality checks, and verification activities to ensure adherence to design standards.
- Review hydraulic analysis, surge checks, and flow modelling to optimize pipeline performance.
- Support in piping (Plant) & pipeline integrity assessments and help develop recommendations for repairs or maintenance activities.
- Lead on the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to ensure the long-term reliability and integrity of pipeline systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Construction, QA/QC, Procurement, Operations) to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations, vendor reviews, and engineering workshops (HAZOP/HAZID).
- Stay updated with industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to pipeline design, construction, and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Preferably in Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8-10 Years of Experience in piping (Plant) & Pipeline Engineering or A Related Field.
- In-Depth Knowledge of piping (Plant) & Pipeline Design Codes, Standards, and Regulations.
- Proficiency in piping (Plant) & Pipeline Design Software and Engineering Tools.
- Strong Understanding of Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Analysis.
- Knowledge of Materials Selection and Corrosion Control Methods for Pipelines.
- Ability To Interpret Engineering Drawings and Specifications.
