Job Description

Currie & Brown is looking for a Senior Planning Manager to join our team in Dubai. You will lead in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

We welcome applications from experienced Planning Managers with either adelay analysis/delay management background or a general planning/project controls background. The successful candidate will have strong programme management experience and the ability to support complex, high-value construction projects through all stages of delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the master programme
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting of all programme-related activities.
  • Proactive management / conducting detailed reviews of the contractor's programme.
  • Monitor planning and project controls activities for conformance with project procedures.
  • Develop and monitor the permitting and authority approvals process.
  • Prepare the baseline programme.
  • Prepare monthly reports and recovery plans, where applicable.
  • Prepare and finalise weekly progress reports and quantity reports.
  • Provide the Project Manager with weekly progress updates, completion forecasts, together with critical path and trend analyses.
  • Continually assess the impact of approved changes and deviations from key project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and what if scenario analysis to support project decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Manager, Engineer and Contractor to resolve project scheduling issues.
  • Review and analyse contractors claims and prepare recommendation reports where required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience working on high-end mixed-use projects.
  • BSc in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant pre-contract and post-contract planning experience on major construction projects.
  • Experience in either delay analysis/delay management or general planning/project controls.
  • Strong technical writing, communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
