QuantumGate is dedicated to developing and commercializing cutting-edge post-quantum cryptographic solutions. Our mission is to safeguard enterprise digital environments through innovative protocols and applications that address the evolving challenges of the post-quantum era.
We are looking for a
Senior Platform Engineer to join the
QSphere engineering team at QuantumGate and build the engineering platform that powers the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
You will design, build, and operate the cloud platform that enables development teams to develop, test, deploy, and operate software securely and reliably. From infrastructure as code and Kubernetes to CI/CD, GitOps, observability, and security, you will help create a modern, scalable platform that allows engineers to ship software faster while maintaining high standards for reliability, security, and operational excellence.
This role combines Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and DevOps practices, treating the engineering platform as a product with a strong focus on automation, self-service, and developer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Build and Operate the Engineering Platform
- Design, implement, and maintain the cloud infrastructure supporting development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Build and evolve Kubernetes-based platforms for scalable application deployment.
- Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (or equivalent IaC technologies).
- Continuously improve platform scalability, resilience, availability, and operational efficiency.
Enable Modern Software Delivery
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, testing, security validation, and deployment.
- Implement GitOps-based deployment workflows using tools such as ArgoCD.
- Support progressive deployment strategies including blue/green, canary, and automated rollback.
- Improve software delivery through automation and standardized engineering workflows.
Drive Reliability and Observability
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing across the platform.
- Define operational standards, service reliability objectives, and performance metrics.
- Participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis to continuously improve platform reliability.
Build Security into the Platform
- Implement platform security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Manage identity, authentication, authorization, secrets, and access management.
- Integrate security controls into the SDLC through automated policy enforcement, vulnerability scanning, and infrastructure hardening.
Collaborate Across Engineering
- Work closely with software engineers, architects, QA, and cloud specialists to improve engineering productivity.
- Provide internal tooling and self-service capabilities that simplify application deployment and operations.
- Support architecture discussions to ensure platform capabilities align with product and application requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and operating cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.
- Experience building and maintaining production CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, or similar.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, storage, and cloud architecture.
- Experience implementing infrastructure and platform security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- GitOps technologies such as ArgoCD.
- Helm, Tekton, or similar platform tooling.
- Identity and Access Management technologies including Keycloak, OAuth2/OIDC, or SAML.
- Configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Service Mesh technologies and API gateways.
- Experience operating highly available distributed systems.
- Knowledge of confidential computing, secure boot, platform integrity, or attestation technologies.
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
