Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive procurement experience, with significant leadership experience in EPC projects. Proven experience in procurement for Substation and Overhead Transmission Line projects is essential.
Develop, implement, and lead the organization's procurement strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, ensuring cost optimization, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Direct and oversee all procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, contract review, contract administration, and contract implementation.
Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors to secure the most competitive pricing, favorable commercial terms, optimal payment conditions, and contractual protections for the organization.
Ensure procurement activities are executed in a timely, transparent, and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality, technical, and project requirements.
Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring contractual obligations and organizational interests are adequately protected.
Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team by setting performance objectives, conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to support project execution and business requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or any other recognized engineering discipline.
Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.
Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP, particularly MM (Materials Management) and PM (Plant Maintenance) modules.
Excellent understanding of EPC procurement practices, contract administration, and supply chain management.
