The opportunity
Project: This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major sports stadia and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. Mace is currently bidding for this programme which will require high-calibre and experienced people to lead teams throughout each phase of the project.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interfacing across the projects project controls managers and project controls project teams to assure the quality of data and process adherence.
  • Providing technical professionals with PMO and project controls management experience
  • Understanding of all aspects of project controls management, and promoting value for money.
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of project control management.
  • Reporting functionally to the director of the project controls department and operationally to the EPMO project director.
  • Preparing and maintaining the project controls management processes, including updates, and obtaining approval.
  • Establishing, managing and monitoring budgets, costs, planning/scheduling, management/reporting of changes and providing oversight, guidance, direction and escalation.
  • Developing and implementing budgets, coding structures and baselines to meet the project objectives and assure adherence to the policies and procedures of the government entity
  • Establishing an understanding and implementation of the existing standards and processes and recommended tools, for development and use on the stadium development program.
  • Preparing the project control department's knowledge transfer program which includes comprehensive on-the-job training.
  • Adhering to the department operating structure based on methodology and in alignment with government entity structure.
  • Implementing and managing standard project control processes and procedures.
  • Reviewing financial claims provided by contractors, consultants, supervisors, designers and any other contract under the supervision of the project management consultant.
  • Managing the stage gate process on all government entities qualifying new projects and as agreed with government entities on existing projects.
  • Overseeing the stage gate schedule.
  • Ensuring that projects provide input to monthly dashboards.
  • Preparing benefits map and benefits realisation.
  • Reviewing, validating and consolidating project monthly dashboards and reports, and raising any issues and concerns.
  • Issuing the project dashboards and reports to concerned internal and external stakeholders.
