Job Description



  • During pre-bid process, assesses potential risks to project and margin achievability and provides the field sales organization with objective and reliable information related to engineering design, cost of labor, material and subcontractors, etc.
  • Responsible for flawless and profitable project execution in compliance with contractual obligations (accurate, on-time, billed, within budget & scope of contract), company's processes and procedures, industry installation techniques and applicable legal requirements.
  • Primary on-site leader for execution team consisting of both front line delivery teams and subcontractors. Attends job progress meetings as required, steers corrective actions and defines recovery plans where needed. Escalates issues when required.
  • Negotiates, prepares and issues subcontractor contracts. Ensures subcontractors understand performance levels needed for flawless execution of the project.
  • Manages the selection, ordering, warehousing and logistics of materials as required for the project. Where appropriate, liaises with the Supply Chain Department.
  • Drive project review meetings. Analyze and audit engineering contract and standard compliance, execution issues and change requests, costs, billings, collections, and payables. Make changes to optimize performance and continuously strive to improve margins.
  • Pro-actively manages risks to project and margin achievability through analyzing financial reporting systems and project schedules. Calibrates solutions and establishes project recovery plans.
  • Investigates opportunities for improvements in the project scope that will result in value added change orders. Performs associated cost estimates, prepares proposals and secures customer acceptance.
  • Resolves issues and disputes where other parties impact project execution. Facilitates escalation of product related problems to manufacturing.
  • Uses company's standard tracking and reporting tools to ensure project document compliance with contract requirements. Communicate project progress and financial status to management and customers.
  • Upon project completion, ensures successful transition to appropriate Field Operations team and coordinates relevant customer-training requirements.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and implementation of best practices.
  • Develops and builds customer, consultant and subcontractor relationships that promote a culture of doing business in line with company's ethical standards and applicable laws.
