Senior Project Manager
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
A leading international project and programme management consultancy is seeking a highly capable Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of a major, high-profile entertainment and sporting development in Riyadh. This is a flagship project forming part of a wider giga-programme and requires strong leadership across all aspects of project delivery.
Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of a large-scale construction package from design through to completion. The role requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure delivery in line with programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned project packages, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors across all project phases
- Oversee design coordination, procurement processes, and construction delivery
- Monitor project performance against schedule, cost, and quality targets, implementing corrective actions where required
- Ensure robust project controls, reporting, and governance processes are in place and maintained
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are effectively implemented
- Drive stakeholder engagement, maintaining strong relationships with client representatives and key project partners
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all activities
- Support commercial management, including contract administration, variations, and claims where applicable
- Lead project meetings, reporting progress and key issues to senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in project management, with a strong track record on large-scale construction projects
- Experience working on complex, high-value developments within the Middle East is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of project controls, construction methodologies, and contract administration
- Proven leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with international contract forms (e.g. FIDIC)
- Proficiency in project management and planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
