Key Responsibilities
Site Execution
- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities including excavation, backfilling, concrete works, waterproofing, finishing works, drainage, roadworks, underground utilities, cable trenches, and building construction.
- Monitor site progress to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Inspect construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure quality compliance.
- Maintain site documentation including RFIs, material inspections, concrete records, and quality reports.
- Conduct site inspections before client and consultant inspections.
Technical & Project Support
- Review shop drawings, BOQs, and construction documents.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and field change requests.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and certify work progress.
- Coordinate with MEP, HSE, and other engineering disciplines for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with international engineering standards and local regulations.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment utilization.
- Support construction management with progress tracking and technical updates.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- Strong experience in substation, power, utility, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on live substations and Permit-to-Work (PTW) environments is highly preferred.
