About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Testing Engineer to join our technology team in Cairo. In this role, you will lead quality assurance initiatives, design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, mentor QA team members, and ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for manual and automated testing.

Lead test automation initiatives using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.

Perform functional, regression, integration, API, performance, load, and stress testing.

Review business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure they are testable.

Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.

Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.

Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and code reviews to promote quality from the earliest stages of development.

Mentor and support junior and mid-level QA Engineers by sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing frameworks, and automation strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing.

At least 2 years of experience in a Senior QA Engineer or QA Lead role.

Strong experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or equivalent.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Experience with API testing tools including Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices architectures.

Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

ISTQB or other software testing certifications are considered an advantage.

Experience working in SaaS or product-based software companies is preferred.
