Primary Purpose Of The Job
Responsible, accountable for the day-to-day functions of deconstruction, demolition and execution of department assigned Projects at offshore locations to ensure they are constructed/decommissioned in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and QatarEnergy standards & specifications.
Provide guidance to construction supervisor and Contractor to ensure that all deconstruction & decommissioning activities are executed in accordance with approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and HSE requirements.
Required Experience And Skills
- Candidate should have a minimum of 10 to 12 years overall experience in supervising, offshore deconstruction, demolition, decommissioning with strong offshore demolition experience of oil and gas production / wellhead platform topside , Jacket structures and subsea infrastructure (pipelines, umbilical, flatpack, composite cables etc) including sea fastening inspection, lifting plan review and approval of construction/demolition method statements, load-out activities.
- Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills.
- Excellent command of English Language (oral and written)
- Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness.
- Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings.
- Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions.
- Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce.
Educational Qualifications
B.Sc. in Engineering Or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized University or Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) level in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
