The Supplier Quality Associate Engineer is responsible for ensuring that externally provided products, processes, and services conform to customer, regulatory, statutory, and AS9100 requirements.
The incumbent manages supplier qualification, performance monitoring, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities to ensure suppliers consistently deliver conforming products that meet aerospace industry standards and EPI requirements.
Participate in supplier risk assessments in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
Evaluate risks associated with: Single-source suppliers, Critical components, Special processes, Supplier performance trends, develop mitigation plans for identified risks.
Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.
Facilitate Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
Support reduction of supplier defects and process variation. Share best practices with suppliers.
Plan and perform supplier audits based on risk and performance. Conduct: Quality System Audits, Process Audits, Product Audits, Special Process Assessments
Evaluate supplier compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. Issue audit reports and monitor corrective action implementation. Review supplier FAI packages in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Verify completeness and accuracy of FAI documentation.
