Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager with a strong background in the petrochemical or industrial sector to lead end-to-end supply chain operations, drive efficiency, ensure optimal cost performance, and support business growth through strategic planning, sourcing, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement the supply chain strategy in alignment with organizational and business unit objectives.
  • Identify future requirements of business units and translate them into supply chain initiatives.
  • Design and execute strategic initiatives to improve supply chain performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and monitor risk management plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Optimize supply chain processes to improve cost efficiency, delivery performance, and operational effectiveness.

Annual Business Planning:

  • Review and align annual supply chain business plans with organizational goals.
  • Monitor performance against plans and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations.

Strategic Sourcing:

  • Collaborate with sourcing and contracting teams to align supply chain requirements with business needs.
  • Contribute to sourcing strategies and supplier selection processes.
  • Analyze market intelligence, trends, and supplier landscape.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and ensure cost-effective procurement solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and qualifications.
  • Support achievement of overall sourcing and procurement objectives.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor and review supplier contract performance and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for service enhancement and optimization.
  • Lead resolution of supplier-related issues and ensure KPI achievement.

Supply Chain Policies & Procedures:

  • Develop, update, and maintain supply chain policies and operational procedures.
  • Monitor operations to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with standardized operating procedures.
  • Communicate and enforce action plans with relevant stakeholders.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Enhance customer service performance by analyzing processes and monitoring service metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers.
  • Continuously improve logistics performance and service levels.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.

Data Quality & Reporting:

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of supply chain and operational data.
  • Monitor data quality processes and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent reporting standards across systems.

Risk & Operational Management:

  • Develop and monitor supply chain and customer service risk management plans.
  • Respond to operational risks including safety, security, and environmental incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and Responsible Care standards.
  • Minimize operational disruptions and improve safety performance.
  • Support mitigation of risks related to logistics, transport, and sales operations.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop supply chain team members through coaching and competency development.
  • Oversee manpower planning, training, and development initiatives.
  • Monitor performance, attendance, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure execution of development plans and continuous capability building.

Order Management:

  • Oversee implementation of E-Business and digital supply chain strategies.
  • Manage sales forecasting, allocation processes, and system accuracy.
  • Ensure proper order processing within ERP systems (SAP/ERM).
  • Monitor credit insurance, credit facilities, and related financial controls.
  • Coordinate order issuing and allocation distribution across customers.
  • Act as escalation point for OTC (Order-to-Cash) process interruptions.
  • Supervise order unblocking processes in coordination with sales and account management teams.

Requirements:

  • 12 to 18 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or order management within the petrochemical Industry
  • Strong expertise in end-to-end supply chain management, sourcing, and logistics operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and order-to-cash processes.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex supply chain networks and cross-functional teams.
