ROLE SUMMARY
Manager – Sustainability drives group-wide sustainability workstreams, including engagements, communications, ESG risk ratings, awards, and annual reporting support. The role ensures timely delivery, stakeholder coordination, and quality control, while managing junior team members and maintaining strong governance, documentation, and execution across multiple initiatives aligned with sustainability strategy.
ROLE PROFILE
- Manage sustainability workstreams across engagements, communications, ESG risk ratings, awards, and wellbeing initiatives
- Lead and coordinate internal and external sustainability events, campaigns, trainings, and stakeholder engagements
- Oversee ESG risk ratings processes, including data collection, evidence management, and timely submissions
- Drive sustainability awards, certifications, and external recognition submissions end-to-end
- Manage and coordinate inputs for the Annual Sustainability Report, ensuring timely review and closure of comments
- Line-manage junior team members, including task allocation, prioritization, coaching, and performance oversight
- Ensure strong governance, documentation, quality control, and proactive risk escalation across all workstreams
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainability strategy priorities and business objectives effectively
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or related roles within a corporate or consultancy environment
- Proven experience in managing workstreams, projects, or junior team members with strong delivery ownership and accountability
- Exposure to ESG frameworks and processes, including reporting, ESG risk ratings, sustainability awards, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong project management, organisation, and stakeholder coordination skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports, presentations, and stakeholder materials
- Relevant academic background in sustainability, environmental science, business, or related field, with certifications (e.g. LEED, GRI) considered an advantage
