Technical Design Authority - Enterprise Architect
Urgent requirement for Technical Design Authority on a 1 year renewable contract to be based in Nigeria.
Requirements:
Expertise in developing and maintaining transformational strategies and architectures and overseeing their implementation and handover into operations and ensuring continued alignment to overall architecture.
Provides technical guidance to a team of highly skilled architects and engineers setting the technical direction.
Experience leading Architectural Reviews and Project Change Board functions.
Enforces design and implementation of artefact standards related to the disciplines concerned.
Acts as a technical sounding board to the CTO/CIO and wider business leadership.
Heading a team of technical SMEs maintaining SDDC, Cloud, and Cloud Native environments based on VMware Technology.
Acts as the interface to technical resident engineers and fronts all actions/requirements with MTN Operations and Management teams and acts as a SPOC.
Able to understand end-to-end solution deployments and architectures from infrastructure-to-applications, and can thus provide guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and prioritising problems and incidents to minimize business impact.
Able to detect and proactively take precautionary measures related to technology and operations to ensure that the environment remains at optimized levels, and hence not impact MTN's business. This comprises and is not limited to upgrades/patching, dependencies, capacity planning, change management, and the ability to convey correlations and analysis to application stakeholders, ISVs, and infrastructure architects to redesign considerations.
A technical background in workload security, availability, scaling, performance, protection, and maintaining a multi-site environment running VMware Cloud and Cloud Native Workloads.
