The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meet all necessary design responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Draw, update, and maintain designs
- Create production sketches for development samples.
- Manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
- Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical, and customer responsibilities.
- Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and on time.
- Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to lines, and create new concepts.
- Ensure products are in agreement with business strategy and client requirements.
- Select fabrics and trims.
- Collaborate with a technical team to ensure development packages are accurate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in textile engineering or relevant technical degree.
- Proven work experience of 1 to 3 years as a fashion designer/textile engineer or in a similar role
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, CAD, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Proficient in Solidworks
- Excellent design and conceptual skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
