Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Treasury SSC Analyst is responsible for delivering efficient and accurate treasury operations across multiple Mantrac territories. Reporting to the Treasury SSC Supervisor, the role supports cash and liquidity management, payment execution, treasury reporting, cash forecasting, and banking administration activities. The position plays a key role in ensuring effective cash visibility, maintaining strong treasury controls, supporting strategic liquidity planning, and fostering productive relationships with banking partners, while ensuring compliance with Group Treasury policies and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Execute daily cash management activities and complete Treasury Management System (TMS) checklists.
  • Monitor daily cash positions by collecting bank balances and updating cash reports.
  • Assist in forecasting incoming receipts and outgoing payments.
  • Maintain accurate cash position reporting within the Treasury Management System.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of treasury transactions, payments, and receipts.
  • Liaise with banking partners to obtain missing statements and resolve discrepancies.

Payment Processing

  • Process treasury and vendor payments through TMS and e-banking platforms.
  • Prepare and issue digital payments, electronic transfers, and manual payment instruments when required.
  • Coordinate payment approval workflows and ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain robust treasury controls and e-banking security standards.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives to minimize manual transactions and enhance segregation of duties.

Treasury Instruments Management

  • Record and maintain treasury transactions including loans, overdrafts, deposits, foreign exchange deals, bank guarantees, and letters of credit.
  • Monitor maturities and process rollovers, settlements, amendments, and renewals of treasury instruments.
  • Ensure all treasury transactions are accurately recorded in the Treasury Management System.

Cash Forecasting & Reporting

  • Consolidate short-term (12-week) and long-term (12-month) cash forecasts from operating territories.
  • Support treasury reporting and liquidity analysis for management decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing monthly treasury reports and presentations.
  • Provide support for month-end closing activities, intercompany loan reporting, and treasury reconciliations.

Banking & Treasury Administration

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with banking partners.
  • Follow up on banking queries related to payments, collections, and cash management services.
  • Support e-banking administration activities and maintain payment templates.
  • Assist in bank mandate management, KYC documentation, and treasury-related administrative requirements.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Group Treasury policies and internal control procedures.
  • Support audit requests and treasury compliance reviews.
  • Promote best practices in treasury operations, risk management, and process governance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Treasury or Accounting certification is preferred, such as AMCT, MCT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Banking Operations, Shared Services, or a similar finance-related role, preferably within a multinational or global
  • organization operating in developing markets.

Knowledge

  • Sound understanding of Treasury Operations, with a particular focus on Cash Management, Liquidity Management, and Payment Processing.
  • Working knowledge of treasury controls, governance frameworks, and operational best practices.
  • Experience using Treasury Management Systems (TMS), particularly for back-office treasury activities and transaction management.
  • Understanding of treasury instruments, including loans, deposits, overdrafts, foreign exchange transactions, letters of credit, and bank guarantees.
  • Strong systems aptitude with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with e-banking platforms, banking processes, and financial reconciliations.
