Job Overview

The Warehouse Controller is responsible for overseeing and controlling day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure accurate physical handling and system transactions. The role ensures full alignment between warehouse activities and the Warehouse Management System (WMS), maintains inventory accuracy, and enforces operational procedures to achieve high productivity, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and distribution activities.
  • Ensure all physical transactions are accurately reflected in the WMS/ERP system.
  • Create and manage Transfer Orders (TOs) and monitor system updates.
  • Monitor and validate warehouse activities against operational checklists and SOPs.
  • Oversee stock accuracy, bin location management, and inventory integrity.
  • Enforce warehouse policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Monitor picking processes to ensure optimal routes, minimal movement, and maximum efficiency.
  • Identify and control replacement orders, high-risk items, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper stacking and storage of new assortments according to best practices.
  • Assign warehouse zones to team members and define responsibilities clearly.
  • Conduct regular random checks across warehouse zones to ensure compliance with processes.
  • Reduce handling damage, inventory loss, and operational waste through preventive actions.
  • Monitor and improve warehouse productivity and operational performance.
  • Conduct daily housekeeping and stock checks according to inventory cycle plans.
  • Ensure staged materials are processed within SLA timelines.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment condition and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assign daily workload to warehouse team members and ensure clear communication of expectations.
  • Coach, guide, and motivate team members to improve performance and teamwork.
  • Measure, track, and report warehouse KPIs and team performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or warehouse supervision.
  • Strong hands-on experience in warehouse controlling duties is mandatory.
  • SAP / WMS experience is a must.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatching.
  • Good knowledge of inventory control, stock accuracy, and bin management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple warehouse activities simultaneously (multitasking capability).
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and enforce operational discipline.
