Wind Farm O&M Assistant Engineer

Job Overview
We are hiring a Wind Farm Operation & Maintenance Assistant Engineer to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of an onshore wind farm in the UAE.
This is a hands-on, site-based role. Candidates with experience in power plants or solar PV projects who are willing to transition into the wind energy sector are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind turbines, substations, and electrical systems.
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
- Carry out scheduled and preventive maintenance according to OEM manuals and site procedures.
- Support installation, commissioning, and retrofit activities as required.
- Monitor turbine performance via SCADA and report abnormal operating conditions.
- Record maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions accurately.
- Follow HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and site safety rules.
- Participate in emergency response and safety drills.
- Perform other site-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in wind power, power plants, solar PV, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical skills.
- Basic understanding of control systems and fault diagnostics (Wind experience is a plus).
- Ability to work at height and in outdoor / remote site conditions.
- Fluently English communication skills.
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to breakdowns when required.
