Job Description

Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a talented and passionate Commis 2 - Pastry to join our culinary team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for excellence.

Prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and standards
Assist the Pastry Chef and team members in daily operations
Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of desserts
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking skills
Proficiency in using pastry equipment and tools
Understanding of various pastry styles and techniques
Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Team player with strong communication skills
Culinary diploma or certificate in pastry arts (preferred)
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Passion for creating high-quality desserts and pastries
