Purpose of the Role

Prepare tax returns, analyze tax regulations, monitor industry trends, and complete tax reports and recommend effective tax strategies that comply with laws and promote our company's financial well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database
Analyze the taxation aspects of any agreements made by the company with third parties and advise managers accordingly.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date knowledge of all current tax legislation and other matters which might impact on the company's tax liabilities
Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, major in Finance or Accounting.
Master's degree in finance concentrated in Taxes is a plus

Experience:

Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer
5-8 years of experience in finance, mainly in taxes.

Job Specific Skills:

Excellent analytical skills, the ability to perform complex financial analyses and modelling.
Knowledge of MS Office and ERP system
Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
Should have good experience in General Ledger accounting and knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Excellent command of English verbal and written

Generic Skills:

Excellent analytical skills, the ability to perform complex financial analyses and modelling.
Familiarity with accounting software packages and MS office
Extensive knowledge of tax legislation.
Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
