Job Summary

As a Human Resource Operations Specialist at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for administering Human Resource In-Country HR Operations Services for Singapore. This position is part of the ASEAN HR Service Delivery Team (Singapore, Indonesia and Australia), providing HR operational support to the assigned countries and ensuring consistent delivery of HR services across the region. You will be required to interact with employees of all levels to provide HR administration support, solutions and resolve issues while complying with local legislation and company policies.

What You Will Do

HR administration and generalist functions supporting Singapore employees of several legal entities / divisions under Caterpillar Inc.
Responsible for managing, updates, maintenance, and upgrades to the Workday Absence Module for Singapore. Providing advisory support for employee queries for leave and absence applications and entitlements and providing time-off information for leavers and payroll purposes. This includes the administration of statutory and company-related leaves for employees.
Coordinate and interact with Regional and Corporate Human Resources, Service Centers, Total Rewards and Payroll to resolve Manager and Employee queries
Interact with all levels of employees to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel and performance related issues
HR documentations and letters including: Issuance of visa & employment certification letters, business invitation letters for employees, job change letters, managing of personnel files, coordination for employee re-employment / retirement, exit process and documentations, etc.
Application, Renewal and Cancellation of Work Passes (Employment Pass, S Pass, Dependent Pass, Long Term Visitor Pass, etc) for local hires and their eligible dependents.
Completion and coordination of various government / quarterly labor market surveys.
Provide timely and accurate payroll processing and administration support as needed.
Update and document work process changes driven either by legal requirements or process improvements.
Partner with HR colleagues to conduct employee benefits orientation for new hires.
Selected HR related projects: Workday system upgrades (especially Absences / Time and Attendance), Singapore HR Policies, process improvements, global projects and initiatives.
Any other ad-hoc HR tasks, as deemed necessary

What You Have

HR: Policies, Standards and Procedures : Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies regarding human resources management.
HR generalist knowledge including Singapore employment laws and practices, HR processes, company policies and procedures, onboarding & terminations, etc.
HRIS skills such as Workday, Microsoft Excel (intermediate and above) and other Microsoft applications.
Employee Relations : Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
Service Excellence : Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
Information Capture : Knowledge of the methods, channels and processes to obtain needed information; ability to identify, capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, understandable and easily retrievable manner.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups of employees and stakeholders.
Well-developed organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in work execution.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
Proficient in using digital and automated tools to capture, organize, maintain, and archive information effectively.

Additional Information

Approximately 5% business travel required.
Fresh university graduates with a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
