Senior Legal Counsel – Construction (5–8 Years PQE)

A leading Middle East property developer, renowned for delivering high-end luxury developments across the UAE and into Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel – Construction (5–8 years PQE) to join its Dubai-based legal team.

Position Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you will provide legal support across a broad range of construction and development matters, with exposure to both front-end and back-end work.

Key responsibilities include:

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, consultancy agreements, procurement documents and project-related agreements.
Advising on disputes, claims management, contract interpretation and resolution strategies.
Supporting the delivery of high-profile, landmark developments across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Working closely with senior business leaders, project teams and external counsel.
Providing risk management advice and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking candidates who bring:

5–8 years PQE in construction law, ideally gained with a top-tier law firm and/or in-house environment.
Solid experience in both front-end and contentious construction matters. Our client will consider a front-end solicitor with only limited exposure to disputes.
Background in major property development, infrastructure, or large-scale real estate projects ideal, as well as project delivery.
Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a large, high-performing legal team.
