Senior Architect will be responsible for daily activities critical to the successful implementation of architectural and finishing works across a wide spectrum of projects. The role will involve meticulous review of designs and submittals, coordination with project stakeholders, preparation of technical documentation, and active engagement with clients, design and supervision teams.

Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Compliance Skills

Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and SCR/DSR comments.
Monitor erection sequences, lifting plans, and safety compliance.
Identify nonconformities and issue NCRs/SORs when required.
Support structural engineers in resolving site issues.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily inspection reports, surveillance notes, and punch lists
Review MIRs, WIRs, and NDT reports.
Maintain proper QA/QC documentation for handover.

Communication & Coordination

Coordinate with Contractor, Engineer, and thirdparty inspectors.
Provide clear technical feedback and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ability to interpret and explain complex structural details on site.

Technical Experience Requirements

Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and bolting works.
Familiarity with AWS D1.1, AISC, ASTM, BS/EN standards.

Ability to review:

Shop drawings and connection details.
Method statements and ITPs.
WPS, PQR, and welder qualification documents.

Competent in:

Visual inspection of welds.
Checking alignment, plumbness, and tolerances.
Verifying bolt tightening (torque/tensioning).
Inspecting fireproofing and protective coatings.
Coordination with thirdparty labs for NDT and material testing.

Education and experience

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil /or Mechanical Engineering.
Additional training in steel structures, welding, or NDT is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
5–10 years total experience in structural steel works.
Minimum 2 years with a consultant/supervision team on major projects.
Experience in airport, industrial, or steelintensive projects.
