We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a diversified offshore energy and marine services group. The role is responsible for the overall financial management of the business, ensuring robust financial controls, statutory compliance, strategic planning, and business partnering across project, marine, and corporate operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support business growth, improve profitability, manage project finances, and provide financial leadership across multiple entities and international operations.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall finance and accounting function for the group.
Develop financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
Provide commercial and financial analysis to support investment and project decisions.
Evaluate project profitability, vessel utilization, and cost performance.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, insurers, and government authorities.
Lead treasury management, banking facilities, and financing arrangements.
Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments where applicable.
Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting processes, and ERP utilization.
Partner closely with operations, commercial, procurement, engineering, and project teams to improve financial performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
Experience within offshore marine, shipping, oil & gas, marine engineering, shipbuilding, energy services, EPC, or other asset-intensive industries is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of: Group consolidation Project accounting Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)Cash flow management Treasury Taxation Audit and statutory reporting
Proven experience managing multiple entities or regional operations.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support strategic business decisions.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with international stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

Background in offshore projects, vessel operations, marine logistics, or engineering services.
Experience with project costing, contract accounting, and capital-intensive businesses.
Familiarity with international taxation and cross-border financial operations.
Experience supporting executive management and Board-level reporting.
Exposure to business expansion, investments, or corporate restructuring is an advantage.
