Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.

Job Purpose

The incumbent is responsible to study and understand the requisition of materials from the various jobs/contracts, source for ideal suppliers, negotiate the optimum prices and manage appropriate logistics for delivery. He will effectively manage the inventory levels as per the prescribed norms.

Job Responsibilities

Assist the superior in procuring Materials, Equipment's, Equipment hire, Labour Hire, Subcontracts and Services to the job site according to the company's purchasing policies and procedures
Obtain and review quotes from Suppliers, and make recommendations to the Senior Officer Purchase.
Place orders with Suppliers and ensure timely delivery of Materials, Equipment's, Equipment hire, Labour Hire, Subcontracts and Services to the job site
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases and inventory
Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of products
Work closely with Divisional Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers and other team members so as to understand the material / service requirements in order procure the same as per the site requirements
Identify potential cost savings opportunities and report them to the superiors
Ensure compliance with all specification and quantities required for the project including regulatory and legal requirements
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in order to improve purchase experience
Continuously evaluate and improve the procurement process to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Officer Purchase / Management

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Graduation preferably in Commerce / Diploma in Engineering
Supply chain certification would be a plus

Experience

5 years of experience in MEP Project materials purchase in Construcation / Contracting Company.
Proficient in ERP – MM Module, SAP would be plus.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel & MS Office
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supply chain management
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
