Summary

The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the hotel's integrated marketing and communications strategy to position Grand Hyatt The Red Sea as the leading luxury destination resort within The Red Sea destination. The role oversees brand management, public relations, digital marketing, social media, content creation, partnerships, events, and all marketing communications initiatives to maximise brand awareness, drive direct revenue, and support commercial objectives.

The position works closely with Hyatt Regional Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, Red Sea Global, Saudi Tourism Authority, PR agencies, creative agencies, and key stakeholders to ensure consistent brand positioning and commercial success.

Qualifications

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing

Develop and execute the annual Marketing & Communications Plan aligned with the hotel's Business Plan.
Develop annual marketing budgets and monitor expenditure to maximise return on investment.
Support Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Meetings & Events and all revenue-generating departments through integrated marketing campaigns.
Ensure all marketing initiatives support Hyatt brand standards and commercial objectives.

Brand Management

Protect and strengthen the Grand Hyatt brand image across all guest touchpoints.
Ensure all communications, photography, videos, collateral and creative assets comply with Hyatt Brand Standards.
Manage all hotel collateral including brochures, fact sheets, presentations and sales materials.
Lead all pre-opening brand positioning activities.

Public Relations

Develop and execute annual PR strategy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional and international media.
Oversee the hotel's PR agency and ensure delivery against agreed KPIs.
Manage press releases, executive interviews, media familiarisation trips and crisis communications.
Monitor media coverage and prepare monthly PR reports.
Identify award submissions and speaking opportunities that enhance hotel visibility.

Digital Marketing

Develop digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and direct bookings.
Manage website content and ensure that information remains current.
Oversee SEO and SEM strategy.
Coordinate CRM campaigns and email marketing initiatives.
Monitor website performance, campaign analytics, and digital ROI.

Social Media & Content

Develop the annual content calendar.
Manage all hotel social media channels.
Produce engaging content including photography, videography, and storytelling.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all digital platforms.
Track engagement, reach and conversion metrics.

Influencer & Partnership Marketing

Develop influencer marketing strategy aligned with brand positioning.
Identify and manage partnerships with luxury travel creators, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), airlines, credit card companies, luxury brands and tourism partners.
Coordinate influencer stays and campaign reporting.
Build destination partnerships with Red Sea Global and Saudi Tourism Authority.

Commercial Support

Support Sales in promoting Rooms, Meetings & Events, Weddings, Spa and Food & Beverage outlets.
Develop promotional campaigns during key demand periods.
Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to optimize commercial performance.
Support hotel opening campaigns and seasonal marketing initiatives.

Community Relations & CSR

Develop relationships with government entities, local businesses, and community organizations.
Support Hyatt's ESG initiatives through sustainability and community engagement programmers.
Promote Saudi talent development and local cultural initiatives.

Pre-opening Responsibilities

Develop the hotel's opening marketing strategy.
Manage pre-opening content creation, photography, and videography.
Coordinate launch campaigns, media events and opening ceremonies.
Execute phased press release distribution.
Lead influencer preview stays and media familiarization trips.
Build awareness in key feeder markets before opening.

Budget & Performance

Prepare and manage the annual Marketing & Communications budget.
Measure campaign effectiveness through ROI analysis.
Monitor KPIs including:
Brand awareness
Website traffic
Direct bookings
Social media engagement
Media coverage
Influencer performance
PR value
Campaign ROI
Prepare monthly commercial reports for Executive Committee and Hyatt Regional Office.

Leadership Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Marketing & Communications team.
Manage external agencies and suppliers.
Foster collaboration with Sales, Revenue, Operations and Corporate Marketing.
Coach team members and support Hyatt's talent development initiatives.
