Job Summary

Lead business growth and strategic market development across salon, spa, beauty, wellness, furniture, retail, and related sectors. Drive revenue expansion by developing new opportunities, managing key accounts, and building strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement business development and commercial growth strategies aligned with company goals
Identify and secure new business opportunities across salon, spa, beauty, wellness, furniture, retail, distribution, and commercial supply sectors
Develop and expand corporate, wholesale, retail, distributor, and trade accounts to increase market share
Build and maintain long-term relationships with business owners, senior management, procurement teams, distributors, and strategic partners to support sustained growth
Manage the full business development lifecycle from lead generation and client presentations to proposal preparation, negotiation, and deal closure
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, supply arrangements, distribution agreements, and strategic partnerships to maximize profitability
Manage and grow key customer accounts through repeat business, customer retention, cross-selling, and account development initiatives
Identify and evaluate new markets, products, sales channels, partnerships, and revenue streams for commercial viability and profitability
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to inform strategic decisions
Prepare business proposals, quotations, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and management presentations to support decision-making
Establish business development targets and monitor performance against agreed objectives to ensure accountability
Collaborate closely with operations, purchasing, warehouse, logistics, finance, and administrative teams to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and commercial commitments
Represent the company in customer meetings, commercial negotiations, trade events, and partnership discussions to enhance brand presence
Provide regular business performance, pipeline, and market updates to senior management to support strategic planning
Support senior management in business planning, market expansion, and commercial decision-making processes

Required competencies and certifications

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in business development, commercial management, corporate sales, key account management, market development, or related senior commercial roles
Proven track record of developing new business and contributing to measurable revenue growth
Strong experience managing key accounts and commercial relationships to drive business success
Demonstrated negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills in commercial contexts
Ability to independently generate, develop, and convert new business opportunities into revenue
Strong commercial awareness with understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability metrics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, WhatsApp Business, and basic sales or business tracking tools
Responsible, organised, disciplined, and results-oriented work approach

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Experience in salon, spa, beauty, wellness, furniture, retail, distribution, commercial supply, or related industries
Existing industry contacts or established business networks to facilitate business development
Substantial B2B and commercial business development experience
Ability to develop proactive business strategies beyond responding to incoming enquiries
Strong negotiation and closing capabilities to secure major customer accounts
Comfort operating in a senior management capacity and collaborating closely with company leadership
