We are partnering with a global technology business that is looking to appoint a Regional Sales Director to lead its commercial activity across the Middle East.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving regional growth, developing strategic customer relationships and leading a high-performing sales team across key markets.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience within the payments technology ecosystem, with a proven track record of selling complex enterprise solutions into banks, financial institutions, payment providers and other large organisations across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the regional sales function across the Middle East, setting clear commercial priorities and driving performance against agreed targets.
Manage, coach and develop an established sales team while supporting the continued growth of the regional organisation.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business and expansion opportunities.
Work closely with the sales team on strategic opportunities, complex negotiations and major account development.
Develop senior-level relationships with banks, financial institutions, payment companies, merchants and other enterprise customers.
Take ownership of regional forecasting, sales planning and quota delivery.
Develop account strategies for key customers and identify opportunities to expand existing relationships.
Partner with internal stakeholders across product, delivery, finance, marketing and leadership to support regional growth.
Contribute to pricing, commercial strategy and deal structuring for complex enterprise opportunities.
Identify new routes to market, including strategic partnerships and channel opportunities.
Maintain a strong understanding of customer priorities, market developments and competitive activity across the region.
Ensure a consistently high standard of customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle.

Key Requirements

10+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, ideally within payments, banking technology or financial software.
Significant experience selling directly into banks, financial institutions, payment processors, merchants or similar enterprise customers.
At least 5 years of experience leading or managing sales teams.
Strong knowledge of the Middle East market with established senior customer relationships across the region.
Demonstrable experience delivering against significant revenue and growth targets.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
Experience engaging and negotiating with senior executives and C-level decision-makers.
Strong commercial, negotiation and presentation skills.
Experience working with channel partners or strategic alliances.
Track record of hiring, developing and retaining high-performing commercial teams.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
