Responsibilities:

Perform daily site inspections of mechanical works including HVAC, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
Verify materials, equipment, and installations against approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
Monitor installation quality of equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, ductwork, piping, sprinklers, and BMS components.
Ensure all mechanical systems are installed in line with relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA) and local authority regulations.
Witness and document site testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, including pressure tests, airflow measurements, and system balancing.
Maintain accurate inspection logs, daily reports, NCRs (if needed), and follow up on corrective actions.
Coordinate with the contractor, other discipline inspectors, and the site supervision team to resolve site-level issues.
Ensure contractor compliance with safety procedures and permit-to-work systems, especially during equipment installation and testing phases.
Support the handover process, including snagging and verification of O&M manuals and as-built documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 6–8 years of site experience, with at least 3 years in large projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection in complex building environments.
Familiarity with relevant codes and authority requirements (e.g., Civil Defense, Municipality, DM/ADCD).
Proficient in using site inspection tools and reporting systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore).
Excellent observation, documentation, and communication skills.
UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
