About Position:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux & Cloud Platform Engineer with 12-15 years of experience in Linux system administration, cloud infrastructure management, automation, and platform engineering. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, AWS Cloud, GitHub, Python, and Bash scripting. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and supporting enterprise-scale Linux and cloud platforms while ensuring high availability, security, operational excellence, and performance optimization.

What You'll Do:

Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise Linux environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux, and Ubuntu systems.
Deploy, configure, monitor, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure and services on AWS.
Develop automation solutions using Python and Bash scripting to improve operational efficiency.
Manage source code repositories, workflows, and automation pipelines using GitHub.
Perform system provisioning, configuration management, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Monitor system health, capacity, security compliance, and operational performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues.
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Collaborate with DevOps, application, security, and infrastructure teams to support platform requirements.
Drive platform modernization and infrastructure automation initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories.
Participate in production support, incident management, and root cause analysis activities.

Expertise You'll Bring:

12-15 years of experience in Linux system administration and platform engineering.

Strong understanding of Linux kernel, system services, networking, storage management, and performance tuning.
Expertise in user management, access control, security hardening, and patch management.
Experience managing enterprise-scale Linux environments in production.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and infrastructure management.

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and automation frameworks.
Hands-on experience with GitHub and Git-based source control management.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Experience integrating automation into deployment and operational workflows.
Knowledge of configuration management and release management processes.
Strong understanding of Linux security, hardening, compliance, and vulnerability management.
Experience implementing security controls and access management policies.
Knowledge of system monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
Experience with incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
Ability to support mission-critical production environments with high availability requirements.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in complex enterprise environments.
Strong ownership, accountability, and customer-focused approach.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
