Job Purpose

Compliance & AML Manager to lead the company's compliance, internal control, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) activities.

The role will be responsible for ensuring the company's ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) requirements, internal policies, procedures, and governance standards.

The successful candidate will also oversee the implementation and continuous enhancement of the company's AML/CTF framework and ensure that appropriate controls are in place to mitigate regulatory, compliance, money laundering, and terrorist financing risks.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor the company's and employees compliance with applicable laws, regulations, FRA decisions, internal policies, procedures, and operating manuals.
Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's compliance framework and internal control systems and ensure they are regularly updated.
Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Identify and report regulatory or compliance breaches and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.
Ensure appropriate escalation of regulatory violations in accordance with applicable FRA requirements.
Review and enhance controls designed to prevent and manage conflicts of interest between the company, employees, and customers.
Maintain appropriate records relating to customer complaints, including actions taken, outcomes, and resolution timelines.
Lead and supervise the implementation of the company's AML and CTF procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable AML/CTF laws, regulations, FRA requirements, and relevant regulatory controls.
Continuously review and update AML/CTF policies and procedures in response to local and international regulatory developments.
Ensure that appropriate controls are implemented to minimize the risk of the company being used for money laundering or terrorist financing activities.
Maintain strong knowledge of applicable AML/CTF legislation and relevant Financial Action Task Force (FATF) requirements.
Coordinate with senior management and relevant stakeholders on compliance and AML matters.
Support regulatory inspections, assessments, and communications with the FRA where required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Relevant university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Must have prior experience serving as Head of Compliance, or in an equivalent senior compliance leadership role, within an entity regulated by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) in Egypt.
Strong knowledge of Egyptian financial regulations and FRA requirements.
Strong understanding of AML/CTF legislation, regulatory instructions, and FATF requirements.
Must be a permanent employee and not seconded or assigned to another entity, in line with the stated AML/CTF requirements.
Ability to successfully complete the relevant FRA examinations and personal interviews, as applicable.
