As our client portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Tax & Financial Reporting Compliance to lead the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of our clients tax and financial reporting obligations.

Position Overview

The Senior Manager will take overall responsibility for the technical review and delivery of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, accounting, and financial reporting assignments.

The role requires a technically strong and commercially aware Chartered Accountant with substantial experience in a UAE accounting, auditing, tax, or professional services firm. The successful candidate will manage client portfolios, supervise managers and accountants, strengthen internal review controls, and ensure that clients accounting records remain accurate, audit-ready, and tax-compliant.

Key ResponsibilitiesUAE Corporate Tax Compliance

Oversee Corporate Tax registrations, deregistrations, assessments, return preparation, and filing.
Review Corporate Tax computations, tax adjustments, supporting schedules, and filed returns.
Ensure the correct application of UAE Corporate Tax legislation, Cabinet Decisions, Ministerial Decisions, and FTA guidance.
Review tax treatments relating to deductible expenses, related-party transactions, interest limitations, tax losses, exempt income, small business relief, and free-zone taxation.
Identify Corporate Tax risks and provide technically sound recommendations to clients and management.
Oversee responses to FTA enquiries, clarification requests, audits, reconsiderations, and penalty matters.
Monitor changes in UAE tax legislation and ensure that internal procedures and client treatments are updated accordingly.

VAT and Indirect Tax Compliance

Oversee VAT registrations, deregistrations, return filings, refund applications, voluntary disclosures, and VAT health checks.
Review VAT reconciliations, input and output tax treatments, zero-rated and exempt supplies, reverse-charge transactions, and cross-border activities.
Ensure VAT returns are fully reconciled with the accounting records before filing.
Identify historical VAT exposures and recommend corrective action.
Support the team in responding to FTA audits, enquiries, and information requests.

Financial Reporting and IFRS Compliance

Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements prepared under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs.
Ensure the accuracy of trial balances, general ledgers, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statement disclosures.
Review complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, provisions, impairment, related-party transactions, and foreign-currency transactions.
Ensure clients accounting records are complete, properly reconciled, and ready for audit and tax filing.
Review management reports, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash-flow statements, and other financial analyses.
Coordinate with external auditors and support the timely completion of statutory and non-statutory audits.

Quality Control and Risk Management

Establish and maintain strong review procedures for accounting, VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial reporting assignments.
Ensure maker-checker and approval controls are consistently followed before any submission is made to a client, auditor, authority, or the FTA.
Conduct final technical reviews of high-risk and complex client assignments.
Monitor filing deadlines and ensure there are no missed submissions, penalties, or avoidable compliance failures.
Identify technical, operational, and client-related risks and escalate significant matters to senior management.
Maintain proper engagement documentation, working papers, review notes, and approval records.

Team Leadership and Performance Management

Lead, supervise, and develop tax managers, accounting managers, senior accountants, and other team members.
Allocate assignments based on capacity, competence, complexity, and deadlines.
Monitor team productivity, turnaround time, work quality, and client service standards.
Conduct technical training and coaching on UAE taxation, IFRS, financial reporting, and professional documentation.
Review team performance and hold managers accountable for their assigned client portfolios.
Support recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention of technically capable professionals.

Client Portfolio Management

Act as a senior point of contact for key and technically complex clients.
Understand each client's business operations, reporting requirements, tax position, and compliance risks.
Lead technical discussions and explain complex accounting and tax matters clearly to business owners and finance teams.
Ensure timely resolution of client queries and maintain high standards of professional communication.
Identify opportunities to strengthen client processes and introduce relevant accounting, tax, reporting, or advisory services.
Support client retention by ensuring reliable service delivery and proactive communication.

Process Improvement and Management Reporting

Improve internal workflows, review checklists, templates, standard operating procedures, and quality-control systems.
Use workflow and accounting technologies to monitor deadlines, work progress, review status, and team performance.
Provide management with regular reports on filing status, outstanding work, technical issues, client risks, team capacity, and service-delivery performance.
Support the continued development of KLOUDAC's accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA from a recognized professional accounting body.
Minimum five years of relevant UAE experience in an accounting, auditing, tax, or professional services firm.
Strong practical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT legislation.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple client portfolios and statutory deadlines.
Proven experience reviewing the work of accountants, tax professionals, and managers.
Experience dealing with external auditors, the FTA, and senior client stakeholders.
Strong understanding of accounting systems, reconciliations, audit working papers, and tax-supporting schedules.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Xero, Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, and other cloud accounting platforms.
Strong technical review, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
