We have an immediate opening for a 3D designer to support on delivering an exciting project, the applicant must be a SketchUp and Autocad proficient user, with D5 render or Enscape render knowledge and is available to join our events and experiential design team as a freelancer for a one month contract starting immediately.
The role focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality 3D visualizations and renders that bring event journeys, activations, and environments to life. The ideal candidate has a strong background in architectural visualization, spatial storytelling, and event/experience design.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualization & Visualization:
- Develop 3D visualizations, renders, and walkthroughs of event spaces, installations, and journeys.
- Transform creative concepts into realistic and compelling visual experiences.
- Produce photo-realistic renders that showcase lighting, textures, materials, and event ambiance.
Event Journey Design:
- Map outattendee journeysvisually, from entry to exit, highlighting engagement touchpoints.
- Createstoryboards, mood renders, and environment simulationsthat illustrate flow and experience.
- Design bothmacro layouts (full venue renderings)andmicro details (stages, activations, booths, etc.).
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with creative directors, event strategists, and operations teams to interpret briefs.
- Support proposal submissions with impactful 3D visuals, ensuring alignment with client vision.
- Collaborate with technical teams (production, lighting, AV) to integrate realistic design elements.
Technical Design
- Develop detailed3D models, floor plans, and spatial arrangements.
- Ensure renders align with event feasibility, scale, and technical accuracy.
- Maintain a consistent visual style in line with brand and project guidelines.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, 3D Animation, or a related field.
- 35 years of proven experience in3D visualization, renders, and event/experience design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing event or architectural renderings.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in 3D design software:3ds Max, Cinema4D, SketchUp, Rhino, Blender, or Maya.
- Rendering engines:V-Ray, Corona, Redshift, Lumion, or Unreal Engine.
- Knowledge ofAdobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Experience inAR/VR visualization toolsis a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong eye for design, composition, and storytelling.
- Ability to translate abstract concepts into immersive visuals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience inlarge-scale events, exhibitions, and immersive activations.
- Knowledge ofarchitectural lighting design and spatial acoustics.
- Understanding ofUAE/GCC cultural contextfor event design is a strong advantage.
