Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the Electrician cum A/C Technician role is to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical systems and air-conditioning units within the facility. The technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and maintain a comfortable and safe environment. This role supports daily operations by responding promptly to maintenance requests, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Retail, Warehouse, and Office Maintenance
- Attend to day-to-day electrical and A/C maintenance tasks for all Liwa Retail stores, offices, and warehouses, ensuring strict adherence to safety measures.
- Troubleshoot and replace fused lamps, ballasts, transformers, damaged light fittings, switches, electronic gear controllers, and other electrical accessories.
- Identify and rectify electrical short circuits.
- Implement safety measures to prevent overloading of electrical circuits and replace open or broken sockets, plug tops, and loose wiring in panels and light fittings.
- Install and commission new power sockets, light fixtures, and related components as required.
- Repair or replace faulty TVs, DVD players, and music amplifiers.
- Conduct routine checks of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, during visits to retail shops.
- Maintain adequate stocks of spare parts (e.g., lamps, ballasts, electronic gear controls) for emergency requirements.
- Purchase necessary spares and accessories for ongoing maintenance tasks.
- Deliver materials such as lamps, ballasts, and electronic controls to shops as needed.
- Monitor the maintenance PC for emails and ticketing system updates, coordinating with the maintenance supervisor to complete or update work requests.
Projects
- Conduct site inspections during shop fit-out works.
- Source materials and samples locally for shop fit-out requirements.
- Assist the Maintenance In-charge in maintaining the sample room.
Store Exit / Closure
- Collect reusable maintenance items from stores scheduled for closure.
- Assist the Maintenance In-charge in barcoding project assets.
Other Duties
- Handle document submission and collection.
- Manage submission and collection of sample boards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in A/C & Electrical.
- Able to speak and understand English well
- 23 years of relevant experience.
