Job Purpose: -
Responsible for maintaining the fleet in compliance with GACA/CAACI Regulations and appropriate company and manufacturer manuals.
Key Responsibilities: -
Functional: -
_Ensure awareness of Line Maintenance and flynas policies, processes, practices, and systems whilst maintaining a high standard of work and work ethic.
Operational: -
_Performs all maintenance tasks assigned in accordance with company manuals and GACA/FAR's, using acceptable methods, techniques, and practices.
_Executes the proper documentation of work performed as stated in the company manual, GACA/FAR Part 43.9 or 43.11 (as applicable) and CAACI regulation within the limitation of his certificate.
_Uses only approved materials, parts, and tooling when performing maintenance.
_Ensures precision tools used are properly calibrated in accordance with GMM before use.
_Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
_Practices safe working methods to ensure the safety of all AMO personnel.
_Responsible for the working methods of technicians, assistant technicians, and cleaners to ensure that they maintain correct working ethics including housekeeping, record control and adherence to paperwork.
_Operates the aircraft and its systems in strict compliance with the aircraft manuals and company procedures and policies e.g. operation of hydraulic systems, operation of APU, refueling etc.
_Ensures that regular FOD walks are carried out around the aircraft to ensure safe operation in the ramp.
_Responsible for all tasks as directed by the Lead Engineer or Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor.
_Complies with all maintenance tasks in accordance with regulations and certified as per authorizations approved and granted.
_Ensures that recurrent defects are investigated thoroughly and reported to the Lead Engineer or Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor in case of need of external assistance.
_Carries out or supervise tasks as directed by his immediate management, to ensure the safe operation of the aircraft and its systems in compliance with the aircraft manuals, GACA/FAR/CAACI regulations and company policies and procedures. This may include assisting in avionics tasks or assisting on other aircraft types.
_Ensures that prior to using any Ground Support Equipment (GSE) that it is safe to use around the aircraft and that it is operating correctly.
_Provides technical support to the Material Management Department to allow ordering of correct parts in a professional and timely manner.
_Supports the customer with all technical queries that they may have and pro-active to the customer's technical queries as part of the company's customer service.
_Presents a professional image of himself and of the company to external customers.
_Ensures that borrowed tools from Tool Crib are recorded in/out for traceability when lost or damaged.
_Carries out any other duties assigned to him by the Lead Engineer, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor or Line Maintenance Manager.
_Perform any other assignment from the line Manager or his designee.
_Provide quarterly/ monthly/ weekly reports or as per the line manager request on all transaction commenced on concerned period.
Academic Qualifications: -
Diploma/Engineering - Major - Aircraft systems and defect rectification.
Licenses and Certifications: -
Must have at least two (2) year experience as Senior Technician
Must have a valid GACA Airman Certificate
Professional Experience Specific Field: -
• 4 or more years CRS on flynas fleets in either a Line or Base environment.
• Experience of aircraft systems and defect rectification.
• Knowledge of Trax, Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Oracle desirable.
• Must hold Level 3 training on flynas operated aircrafts.
