JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily routine inspection of Air conditioning and refrigeration installed in hospital.
- Ensure that the Heating ventilating & Air conditioning units are covers the American Standards (ASHRAE) or its equivalent for control of air quality by doing cleaning and replacement of filters, cleaning grills (diffuser) & ducts.
- Provide an un-interrupted Air conditioning system throughout the patient care, both routine and urgent, is provided to patients, visitors & staff.
- Perform timely inspection, maintenance and testing of Air conditioning system and refrigeration.
- Attend service calls and job orders related to air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
- Regular monitoring the room temperature inside the hospital and ensure that room temperature meets the standards specified for hospitals. So, maintain ventilation, exhaust systems of hospital accordingly.
- Regular monitoring the positive/negative pressure of the specified rooms and recording the result properly.
- Operational manuals of ACs/refrigerators, electrical & mechanical diagrams and drawings are to be kept in file for easy reference whenever necessary.
- Keep an inventory of all AC units/refrigeration units of the hospital and it should be up-dated always.
- Maintain the fresh air system of OR, DR, ICU & Laboratory. Ensue periodic cleaning of air ducts and changing of HEPA filters.
- Inform the Team Leader or Maintenance Engineer in case there is a necessity to improve, upgrading or replace the ongoing systems. Seek Maintenance Engineer's advice/guidance where ever necessary and to keep inform him about the status of Air conditioning and Refrigeration systems of the hospital.
Qualifications :
- A two years course in Refrigeration and Air conditioning technology or its equivalent.
Professional Experience :
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Maintenance and repairs of Refrigeration and air conditioning equipment's.
