Role Overview
We are looking for an Academic Account Manager to manage the full sales cycle with universities, research institutions, and academic publishers. The role focuses on lead generation, closing new business, and managing accounts in close coordination with our Customer Consultant team.
This position is ideal for someone interested in academic publishing, scholarly communication, and institutional sales.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales Development
• Identify and approach potential clients across universities, research centers, ministries, and academic institutions
• Conduct outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn
• Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline
• Qualify leads and identify real business opportunities
Sales Cycle Management
• Initiate contact with prospects and manage early-stage discussions
• Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions
• Present proposals and service overviews
• Negotiate terms and coordinate contract signing
Account Management & Renewals
• Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts
• Maintain strong, long-term client relationships
• Identify renewal opportunities and manage contract extensions
• Support account health and customer satisfaction
Internal Collaboration
• Handover signed accounts to the Customer Consultant team
• Ensure smooth transition from sales to service delivery
• Coordinate with internal teams to address client needs and issues
Stakeholder Engagement
• Engage with university decision-makers (library directors, research offices, procurement)
• Communicate with editors, authors, and academic administrators
• Represent the company at academic events and meetings when needed

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 0–2 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related role
• Strong interest in academia, research, or academic publishing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
