Academic Vice Principal

Ignite School is a KG1-12 American educational institution in Dubai, serving both Emirati and expatriate children. This is a full-time, on-site role for an Academic Vice Principal located in Dubai. The Academic Vice Principal will oversee the school's academic programs, support staff and faculty in the implementation of the curriculum, and ensure alignment with educational standards. Key responsibilities include mentoring teachers, monitoring student performance, developing and implementing strategies for continuous school improvement, and fostering a positive learning environment. The role also involves collaborating closely with the Principal to support the school's vision and ensure the academic and emotional wellbeing of students.

• Leadership and management skills, including strategic planning, decision-making, and the ability to inspire and guide teachers and students
• Strong understanding of curriculum standards such as the New York State P-12 Common Core, student assessment, and instructional best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders including staff, students, and parents
• Problem-solving, organization, and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
• Minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
• Previous experience in a leadership or administrative position in a K-12 education environment; experience in an American curriculum school is preferred
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally relevant educational environment, with an understanding of the UAE cultural context
• Proficiency in educational technology and tools to support modern teaching and administrative practices
